Boulder Reservoir poised to open swank, new complex in summer

New center will feature indoor-outdoor dining, meeting and event space, playgrounds and maybe alcohol

Delayed a year because of Covid-19, Boulder’s new blandly named Boulder Reservoir Services Center is set to open this summer, and it’s anything but bland.

The sprawling new complex on the shores of Boulder Reservoir will feature locker rooms, indoor-outdoor dining, meeting and event space, playgrounds, a boardwalk that opens to a swim beach and more.

The city has partnered with Josh Dinar, who runs a local restaurant group that runs River and Woods and T/aco, to flesh out the dining portion of the complex. According to a Daily Camera report of a letter Josh sent to Boulder Reservoir neighbors, the area will feature various food trucks during the day and sit-down dining in the evening.

Currently, the park allows patrons to bring their own alcohol, but that may change if the complex gets a liquor license, which the local Beverage Licensing Authority will review at February 17 hearing.
