The recent order mandating all bars and restaurants (as well as gyms, theaters and casinos) to shut their doors on regular service has thrown a wrench in the way all business operates, but especially small businesses.
With 80 percent of Boulder’s businesses qualifying as a “small business” (20 employees or less) and 78 percent of Boulder businesses staffing 10 people or less (according to the City of Boulder), this shift has been especially hard on businesses that depend on daily cash flow to operate.
With coronavirus forcing everyone into isolation, restaurants that don’t have a huge surplus of cash laying around in preparation are faced with stark uncertainty.
Many have chosen to stay open revamping their business into pick-up and delivery mode, and one of the best ways to support Boulder’s local economy right now is by supporting these places.
We’ve compiled a list from a few different sources of restaurants, bars and cafes that are open for delivery and take-out, and many of these can be ordered straight from GrubHub or HungryBuffs. Some of these are offering limited menus, so be sure to call first.
