Encountering Boulder’s StarHouse – a BLDRfly event

A simple, immersive StarHouse experience

From the moment setting foot on the 100-plus-acre StarHouse property, its powerful energy resonated from head to toe. The stunning view provides a part of the jolt, the mysteries tucked into the land’s folds another, and a quiet, electric energy cultivated over nearly 30 years perhaps the majority.

And what makes the StarHouse great is that you don’t have to know anything or think anything to feel it. You just show up. It can be easy to get lost in concepts when accessing a place like StarHouse; they often get in the way.

This is why I, along with StarHouse co-steward Lila Tresemer (who has built the StarHouse over the last two and a half decades with her partner David Tresemer — David started it a few years before), designed an event to unlock the best the StarHouse has to offer, without getting stuck in ideas.

The event, Saturday, September 26, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., will feature a simple series of experiences tied to the StarHouse property and the StarHouse building itself designed to immerse us into the vibrant energy the property makes available.

The event will include time at one of the property’s sacred sites, and a tea ceremony, harmonium music and a silent meditation in the StarHouse. The event will be Covid-safe, with social distancing; as a further safety measure, we are capping attendance at 20 people.
