What is BLDRfly?
Exploring the people, places + forces shaping Boulder’s future.
BLDRfly explores the why and so what behind Boulder news and the forces and people shaping the city’s future. This website’s coverage will complement Boulder’s other local media with stories that carry a longer perspective than a daily outlet and more timely, consistent coverage than a monthly or quarterly magazine.
Initially, the site will feature profiles of notable Boulder-area residents with a focus on how they connect with Boulder and the wider world. With original reporting and journalism, the site will also cover and analyze seismic issues in the community, starting with Google’s plan to bring hundreds of additional jobs to Boulder in the near future.
BLDRfly will start as a writing-focused publication, but will soon add video, podcasting and an event series. Stay tuned. Sign up for BLDRfly’s newsletter — which hits inboxes every other Friday morning — using the form below and track Boulder conversations on BLDRfly’s Facebook Group, BLDRfly Flats to Foothills. BLDRfly centers its explorations on Boulder proper with tangential coverage of surrounding communities in Boulder County.
BLDRfly mission: To bring the Boulder community together through a multimedia publication featuring smart, well-rounded reporting and analysis of the city’s vital people and issues that foster productive conversations and action.
